Memorial Day Popsicle Flag Craft

If you’re looking for a fun, patriotic craft to do with kids 3 and older this Memorial Day, look no further; this charming flag is the perfect project. This Memorial Day flag can be used to decorate an outdoor planter or the grave of a loved one or as a Memorial Day party decoration.

Materials
  • 7 craft sticks (Popsicle sticks)
  • Red, white and black poster paint
  • Paint brush
  • Blue painter’s tape
  • Silver star stickers
  • White glue
  • Scissors 
Instructions
1. Paint 3 craft sticks red.
2. Paint 2 craft sticks white. 
3. Paint 2 craft sticks black
4. Allow the craft sticks to dry.
5. Glue the two black sticks together to create the flag pole.
6. Arrange the red and white sticks with back sides up alternating red and white sticks. Allow glue to dry completely.
7. Glue the flag onto the flag pole and allow it to dry.
8. Add a small square of painter’s tape in the upper right hand corner to create the blue part of the flag.
9. Add star stickers to the blue square.
